The LCBS Advanced Level Programming class focuses on writing control functions that are often needed to solve programming requirements of more sophisticated job specifications. Included will be information on Control Strategy Theories and how to program them in the XL15A and XL15C controllers, how to link the Control Loops, Logic Functions, Logic Loops, Start Stop loops, and other programming tools to achieve these programming requirements. A discussion of LonWorks theory will include information on the Network Variables that are the underlying data transfer mechanism in LonSpec. Ways to interface XL15A, XL15C and the XL10 controllers for maximum control integration will also be discussed. The majority of class time will be used to focus on programming the XL15C controller.
The class will present information on creating, programming, and backing up graphics in the LonStation operator interface. This will include how to move graphics from one computer to another.
The class lab exercises will work to satisfy an advanced level specification that will reinforce the class lessons. Open classroom discussions will allow student input to the solutions being presented.
Included will be:
| Configuring high and low limit control | |
| Lead / lag output control (lead failover to lag) | |
